SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
In July,
Suburban Focus becomes Suburban Family Magazine

Dear Reader,

At Suburban Focus, we have a mission: To help suburban families live more active, healthy and improved lives. This mission is center to our editorial focus, advertiser message and circulation strategy. It is the meaning behind our tagline, “Survival Guide for the Suburban Family.” And, it is reinforced in the literally hundreds of reader comments and calls we receive thanking us for producing such an indispensable family resource.

To this end, we have an important (and exciting) announcement...

Suburban Focus is changing its name to more clearly state the kind of magazine that we have always been. Effective with the next issue (i.e. July and August 2012), Suburban Focus will become Suburban Family  Magazine.

It’s important to note that the Suburban Focus articles that you have come to know and rely upon will continue...plus, we are expanding our editorial coverage. Here is a listing of the Suburban Family features that will run in every issue:

SEASONS   Special coverage of seasonal activities.

ALL AROUND Places to go, sports/games and area attractions for the whole family. Includes On Stage and Golf Source.

EDUCATION CENTRAL  A valuable resource for learners of every age level

FITNESS FIRST Dedicated to promoting healthy and active lifestyles for everyone in the family. Includes our comprehensive Race/Walk events calendar.

FAMILY WELLNESS Health, medicine and wellness coverage.

SENIOR FOCUS For seniors, their families and caregivers.

GREAT EVENTS The suburb’s #1 events calendar.

GET AWAYS Local and distant getaways.

CELEBRATE! Party Banquet and Wedding resource.

YOUR PET    Adice for our furry friends.

DINING OUT A guide to area restaurants.

We will have 2 website URLs: subfam.com and chicagosuburbanfamily.com. Subfam.com – used for easy typing convenience - will take (i.e. redirect) you to our main site, chicagosuburbanfamily.com.

I’m very confident that you are going to love the new Suburban Family Magazine. The results of our reader polls were overwhelmingly positive for both the name Suburban Family and our expanded editorial coverage. We know the new Suburban Family will be a hit!

So starting in July, be sure to look out for Suburban Family Magazine...and thank for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Jim Wolf

Publisher
