Navy SEALS Fitness Challenge - September 6. Consists of five fitness
challenges: 500-yd. swim, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups & a 1.5 mile
run. Taking place to promote fitness & heighten awareness of

Country Music Festival - October 11 & 12. This year the Chicago
Country Music Festival has its own weekend and a new location at
Soldier Field & celebrates its 18th year with concerts and a new
festival area that promises to draw some of the biggest names in
country music. There will be three performance stages and a dance
tent. Activities include square dancing and karaoke.

Chicagoween - October 17-31. Chicagoween is a City-Wide Celebration
of Halloween during the month of October, involving the Park
District, Museums, Navy Pier, the Chicago Cultural Center, and other

Haunted Village - October 17-31. Daley Plaza (Washington and
Dearborn Streets), hosts the Haunted Village and is transformed into
Pumpkin Plaza, with pumpkin decorating, spooky storytellers and more
to thrill and chill. Enjoy performances from the high flying aerial
entertainers, Midnight Circus: 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Halloween Happening Parade - October 25. The parade steps off at
noon at the corner of State and Randolph streets. Following the
parade, kids can enjoy trick-or-treating, a performance by Midnight
Circus and a costume contest—all at Pumpkin (Daley) Plaza.
